This Media & Likeness Release ("Release") is a binding agreement between Riley's Dance Designs ("RDD," "we," "our") and the individual agreeing to its terms ("Model"). Where the Model is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must also read and agree to this Release on the Model's behalf.
By agreeing to this Release (via the accompanying consent form), you grant RDD the rights described herein to use the Model's image, likeness, voice, name, and related content for the purposes outlined below. Please read every section carefully.
The Model (and Parent/Guardian, where applicable) hereby grants to Riley's Dance Designs, its owners, employees, agents, licensees, successors, assigns, and authorised third-party collaborators, the following irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free rights:
1.1 Image & Likeness. The right to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture the Model's image, likeness, voice, name, biographical information, and general appearance ("Content") in any format, including but not limited to photographs, video, digital imagery, audio recordings, and illustrations.
1.2 Usage. The right to use, reproduce, edit, crop, alter, composite, retouch, and adapt the Content in whole or in part, alone or in combination with other material, for any and all lawful commercial and non-commercial purposes, including but not limited to: website, online store, and blog content; social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and any future platforms); printed and digital marketing materials (lookbooks, catalogues, flyers, banners, advertisements); email marketing campaigns and newsletters; press and public relations materials; packaging, labels, and product tags; trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events; portfolio and promotional reels; paid advertising, including sponsored social media posts, Google Ads, and any digital advertising platform; and editorial and media features.
1.3 Third-Party & Collaboration Use. The right to share, sublicense, or otherwise provide the Content to authorised third-party collaborators, brand partners, and affiliated businesses for their use in connection with co-branded or collaborative campaigns, products, and promotions related to the dance, performance, fashion, and creative industries. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborators involved in the RDD ICON Ambassador Programme and any future brand partnerships. RDD will endeavour to notify the Model of significant third-party usage but is not legally required to do so.
1.4 Territory. This Release applies worldwide and is not limited to any specific country, region, or territory.
1.5 Duration. This Release is perpetual and shall remain in effect indefinitely from the date of agreement. Content created or captured during the term of the Model's ambassadorship or engagement with RDD may continue to be used after the ambassadorship or engagement ends.
1.6 No Approval Required. The Model waives any right to inspect, approve, or be consulted regarding the final form of any Content prior to its use or publication. RDD will always endeavour to represent the Model in a professional and respectful manner consistent with the brand's values.
Where the Model creates and shares content featuring RDD products, branding, or related materials (for example, social media posts, reels, stories, behind-the-scenes footage, or any media sent to RDD via email, direct message, or social media tagging):
2.1 The Model grants RDD a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to repost, share, reproduce, and use such content across any of the platforms and purposes listed in Section 1.2 and 1.3, with credit given where reasonably practicable.
2.2 The Model retains ownership of content they create, but acknowledges that RDD may continue to use previously shared content even after the ambassadorship or engagement ends, unless a written request for removal is made and agreed upon by both parties.
Where the Model is an ICON or Brand Ambassador, the benefits received under the relevant programme (including but not limited to: free or discounted products, early access, photoshoot opportunities, training access, and promotional features) constitute sufficient consideration for the rights granted in this Release.
Where the Model is a customer or is otherwise not participating in an ambassador programme, the Model acknowledges that no additional payment or compensation is due in connection with this Release.
Where separate paid work is commissioned (for example, a professional model booking or campaign shoot), a separate agreement and/or invoice will be arranged.
The Model (and Parent/Guardian, where applicable) represents and warrants that: all information provided is true and accurate; they have the legal right and authority to enter into this Release and grant the rights described herein; where the Model is a minor, the consenting Parent/Guardian holds legal parental responsibility or guardianship and has the authority to consent on the minor's behalf; the Model's participation is voluntary and not the result of coercion or undue pressure; and the Model has not entered into any agreement with a third party that would conflict with the rights granted in this Release.
5.1 Personal Data. RDD collects and processes the personal data provided via the accompanying consent form for the purposes of administering its programmes, fulfilling orders, communicating with the Model, and exercising the media rights granted herein. RDD will not sell the Model's personal data to unrelated third parties.
5.2 International Transfer. The Model acknowledges that by publishing Content online and sharing it with international collaborators, their image and personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and accessed from countries outside their country of residence, including countries that may not offer the same level of data protection. The Model consents to this transfer as necessary for the purposes described in this Release.
5.3 GDPR & UK GDPR Rights (EU/UK Residents). If the Model is a resident of the European Union or the United Kingdom, they have the right to access, rectify, and in certain circumstances, request erasure of their personal data under applicable data protection laws. However, the Model acknowledges that the right to erasure does not override the perpetual licence granted in Section 1 for Content already published, distributed, or shared with third parties prior to any such request. Requests should be made in writing to the RDD contact details provided.
5.4 Children's Data. Where the Model is under 18, RDD processes their data based on the informed consent of their Parent/Guardian. RDD is committed to handling minors' data with additional care and in accordance with applicable laws, including the UK Children's Code (Age Appropriate Design Code) where relevant.
The Model (and Parent/Guardian, where applicable) hereby releases and forever discharges RDD and its owners, employees, agents, licensees, successors, assigns, and authorised third-party collaborators from any and all claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the use of the Content as described in this Release, including but not limited to claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, copyright infringement, or emotional distress.
RDD shall not be held liable for any unauthorised use of the Content by third parties who obtain it through public channels (such as social media platforms) once it has been lawfully published.
Where the Model is an ICON or Brand Ambassador, they acknowledge that as a representative of Riley's Dance Designs, they are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, kindness, and integrity at all times, online, at competitions, conventions, and in all public settings. This includes but is not limited to social media activity, interactions with other dancers, and behaviour at industry events.
RDD reserves the right to terminate an ambassadorship and revoke associated benefits if the Model engages in conduct that is, in RDD's reasonable opinion, damaging to the brand's reputation, including bullying, harassment, discrimination, unsportsmanlike behaviour, or any illegal activity. In such event, the media rights granted in this Release shall survive termination.
7.1 Brand Exclusivity (ICON Ambassadors Only). ICON Ambassadors agree that when posting, sharing, or publishing any content on social media or other public platforms while wearing or featuring Riley's Dance Designs products, they will not simultaneously wear, display, tag, or promote dancewear, convention wear, or costume products from any competing brand. All public-facing content featuring RDD products must exclusively feature RDD. This exclusivity applies to social media posts, stories, reels, videos, and any other publicly shared content. It does not restrict what the ICON Ambassador wears in their personal or private life, at training, or in non-public settings. Violation of this clause may result in termination of the ICON ambassadorship at RDD's discretion. This section does not apply to customers who have agreed to this Release under the General Media Release category.
For ambassadors: the programme runs for a fixed term as communicated separately (typically one year). Either party may end the ambassadorship by providing written notice. Upon termination: all outstanding product obligations and benefits cease; the Model must cease representing themselves as a current RDD ambassador; and the media and likeness rights granted in this Release survive termination and remain in full force and effect, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For customers and non-ambassador participants: this Release takes effect upon agreement and the media rights granted herein remain in full force and effect indefinitely.
This Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Release shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
This Release constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the media and likeness rights described herein and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, and agreements on this subject. No amendment to this Release shall be effective unless made in writing and agreed by both parties.
